Coming to an AWP near you: SOAP

The Kansas Bathtub Collective is going to be presenting a panel at this year's AWP conference.  In addition to that, we will have a table at the Book Fair.  So far, our table will include the following:

*books and  periodicals from Bathtub Collective  members

*copies of Cottonwood literary magazine (produced at the University of Kansas)

* Bathtub Collective T-shirts

*possibly CDs of Bathtub Collective members reading their work

A reading this Friday at the Lawrence Public Library

Amiri Barak will be on campus today, and is giving a talk tonight.  I'm trying to make sure as many people know about his visit as possible.  Here are the first couple of paragraphs from the KU press release:

LAWRENCE — Amiri Baraka, a poet, playwright, novelist, music critic and political activist, will give a public lecture and poetry reading next month at the University of Kansas.
